The standard engine powering the 2022 Grand Cherokee is the tried and true 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 engine, which lays down 293 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. With Electronic Stop/Start Technology, this engine yields up to 26 mpg on the highway[1] but still manages to tow up to 6,200 pounds.

Want more oomph? The 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 engine has got you covered, promising 357 horsepower, 390 lb-ft of torque, and 7,200 pounds of max towing capacity.

For the first time ever, the Jeep® Grand Cherokee is offered with a 4xe hybrid powertrain. The 2.0-liter inline-four DOHC DI Turbo PHEV engine cranks out 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque, enables 6,000 pounds of towing capacity, and earns up to 57 MPGe (miler per gallon equivalent).[2]
