Jeep Shortcut Vehicle Spotlight

Jeep isn't holding back with its Easter Jeep Safari concept collection, boasting seven new concepts for this year's festival. Models included a Hellcat-powered Wrangler as well as a few other larger models. One of the smaller models to make an appearance was the Jeep Shortcut. Paying tribute to a much older Jeep, the Shortcut is designed for taking on trails over and over again.

If you've ever found yourself wishing the Wrangler were smaller, this is the Jeep for you. Designers cut a whopping 12 inches off the standard two-door Wrangler's length. With this reduced length, the Shortcut wields dimensions similar to the original Jeep CJ5. Combined with the 1950s-style bodywork, low-back leather seats, and chrome bumpers, the Shortcut was an interesting sight to see.

The designers were quite done though. The Shortcut dies on a 35-inch tires with 17-inch wheels as well as a two-inch lift. The lines themselves point to the classic CJ5 design while the four-point cage provides excellent protection without taking away from the Shortcut's design as a whole.

It's not every day you see a CJ5 and with many automakers looking to classic models for inspiration, some form of the Jeep Shortcut isn't out of the question. All in all, we'll all just have to wait to see what the future holds!
