The 2020 Jeep® Cherokee is available in nine trim levels including Latitude, Latitude Plus, Altitude, Latitude Lux, Limited, Upland, North Edition, Trailhawk®, and High Altitude. Some of these models are special edition models.
Performance
Standard on the Cherokee is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 180 horsepower and 171 lb-ft of torque. There are two available engines. The first is a 3.2-liter V6 rated at 271 horsepower and 239 lb-ft of torque. The second is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. All engines are paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. All but the Trailhawk model come standard with front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is an option.
Interior space
The Cherokee has room for up to five passengers. The second row has a 60/40 split to make the cargo area more versatile. Behind the second row, it offers 25.8 cubic feet of cargo space. With the seats folded, this expands to 54.7 cubic feet.
Technology
All Cherokee models come standard with at least a 7-inch touch screen, two USB ports, Bluetooth® connectivity, and Android Auto™, and Apple CarPlay®. Higher trim levels add tech features like satellite radio, an 8.4-inch touch screen, and HD radio.
Safety
You can drive with confidence behind the wheel of the Cherokee. All models come standard with a rearview camera, airbags, and traction and stability control. The Latitude Plus model adds a blind-spot warning system with rear cross-traffic alert and rear parking sensors. The Technology Group package also adds adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, automatic high beams, lane departure warning, and an automatic parking system.
