ÂRam 1500 Engine Options, Power, and Performance

Â
The Ram 1500's
legendary 5.7L V8 Hemi engine generates 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque,
allowing you to tow up to 11,610 pounds. When you mate this beast to Ram's
eTorque transmission, your towing power only increases. You can tow up to
12,750 pounds.
 Â
Â
And if you need the
low-end torque that only diesel engines can provide, the 2020 Ram 1500 can be
outfitted with a 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 engine. This diesel engine provides 260
horsepower and an amazing 480 lb-ft of torque, which is the best in its class.
With that much diesel torque, you can tow up to 12,560 pounds.
Â
 Of special mention
on the trim side is the Ram 1500 Night Edition. Only available on the Big Horn
and Laramie trim levels, the Night Edition brings a blacked-out grille, exhaust
tips, wheels, and badging. Also, both the taillamp and headlight bezels are
darkened, to complete the darkly stylish transformation. On the Big Horn trim,
the blacked-out wheels are 20 inches; on the Laramie trim, they are 22-inches.
